Room 6 Tennis

Today Dairy Flat Tennis Club came to give us some free Tennis Skills lessons. They also gave the children a flier if they wish to sign up for some after school sessions. We all had fun trying to balance the ball on the racquet and trying to bounce it! 

This week in mathematics we are learning about money.  We will mainly be looking at using coins to make amounts up to $2.  Ask your child if they can tell you what coins you could use to buy small items such as pens, sweets, or to feed the parking meter. Let them count any change you have or receive back at a shop.

Well done to LZ4 Room 6 who were joint winners with LZ3 Room 3! We received our ice cream reward on Friday! Many thanks to all the parents who contributed!

Room 6 Ag Day Art

LZ4 ROOM 6 - CHECK OUT OUR AG DAY ART!

Our art is up and ready for judging next Friday! 

We learnt about warm colours and cold colours! 

We used warm colours to make a sunset background.

We then scratched some patterns into the paint.

We practiced drawing zoo animals by looking at the shapes- circles,ovals,oblongs,triangles and used them to help us draw animals. We each drew 3 animals and then chose our best one! We painted it black - cut it out and stuck it on our warm sunset backgrounds! 

We are very proud of our pictures!
