Developmental Day in Week 1 Term 4

Last week on Thursday morning, LZ4 (rooms 4,5 &6) decided to do developmental and let the children loose with all there was to play with. They had a great time working on their balancing, core strength and playing with friends creating master pieces with chalk.

They were learning to problem solve as situations arose, and they showed resilience when things didn't quite work out as planned.
Persistence in the sandpit was observed as water slides and tunnels were slowly emerging from the sand.

A group of workers decided Mr Hardy needed a hand to collect all the grass clippings and move them to the side, not forgetting their safety gear as they worked.

Using imagination while playing with the doll house and ponies, cars and the garage and dressing up as characters playing made up games.

Getting their hands wet in the water trough, playing with objects- pouring, filling and floating- a little bit of science and maths.

Mrs Costello had her gardeners helping her move the new soil into our garden ready for new plants. Very productive.

Play-based at it's best.
